MANILA, Philippines - Actress
Claudine Barretto has apologized to 2 airline ground crew members who
allegedly endured verbal abuse from the actress during a dispute over
her baggage.
After almost 2 weeks since the
incident, Barretto approached the family of Cebu Pacific ground crew
members Charisse Bocboc and Kristine Ilagan to apologize for raising her
voice over her offloaded luggage.
Alex Avisado
told GMA News.
Barretto admitted berating the 2
employees and said she is "thankful" that they have accepted her
apology.
Bocboc and Ilagan corroborated
Barretto's statement, but reportedly denied having been cursed at or
endured personal attacks from the actress. Barretto's scolding of the
two ground crew members were captured in photos by journalist Mon Tulfo
-- a matter protested by the actress' husband actor Raymart Santiago,
which in turn led to the controversial brawl between the two camps at
the airport.
Amid brewing court cases between them
and the Tulfo brothers, Barretto said she feels relieved for being able
to move on from her publicized encounter with the airline staff.
